SEO Expert in Birmingham

The Jewellery Quarter to Digbeth, the Bullring to the canals — Birmingham customers search local first. I help Brummie businesses turn those searches into enquiries.

The problem

Why Birmingham businesses stay invisible

Three patterns I keep seeing in Birmingham businesses — and the thinking behind fixing each one.

PROBLEM 01
The West Midlands searches, you don't appear

From Solihull to Wolverhampton, customers search “near me” every day. If your site only speaks to one postcode, the rest goes elsewhere.

PROBLEM 02
National chains outrank local firms

Big brands win broad terms by default. Local businesses win by owning the specific searches chains ignore.

PROBLEM 03
Reviews go to competitors

Birmingham buyers check reviews before they call. A thin review profile hands warm leads to whoever looks more trusted.

The fix, in one paragraph

Tap the cards above — each problem has a concrete fix. I map your keywords suburb by suburb, rebuild your Google Business Profile, and fix the technical issues leaking your mobile traffic. One person does it all.

Local approach

Birmingham is a patchwork — your SEO should be too

The Jewellery Quarter, Digbeth, Moseley, Harborne, Sutton Coldfield — each has its own search behaviour. A single generic “Birmingham” page can't serve them all.

I build location-aware pages and a Business Profile strategy that covers the areas feeding your business, backed by real keyword research — not guesswork.

  • ✓Suburb-level keyword maps across the West Midlands
  • ✓Google Business Profile with review & post systems
  • ✓Technical fixes: speed, mobile, structure, schema

FAQs

Birmingham questions, answered.

Real answers for Birmingham businesses, from the questions I’m asked most. Anything else — ask me below.

Yes — the Quarter has its own search identity. People type "jeweller Jewellery Quarter" and "engagement ring Birmingham" as two different searches with different intent. A Business Profile with Quarter-specific reviews and photos, plus one strong area page, captures both. Small areas with distinct names are actually easier to own than the whole city.
You out-local them. Their pages usually say "serving Birmingham" with no real Birmingham proof — no local reviews, no local photos, no area content. A Birmingham business with a fully optimised profile, 100+ genuine reviews, and pages for Edgbaston, Moseley, Harborne and Digbeth beats a Solihull landing page in the map pack consistently. Local relevance is the ranking factor money can’t shortcut.
For hotels, parking, food and drink near Marston Green — absolutely. Every major exhibition creates a wave of "near NEC Birmingham" searches from visitors who don’t know the area. Keep your profile hours accurate around big events, post event-specific offers, and mention the NEC corridor naturally in your content. Almost nobody optimises for this, which is exactly why it works.
Near Witton and Aston, yes — noticeably. Every home fixture brings a surge in searches for food, drink and parking from fans who don’t know the area. If your business sits on that corridor, fixture-aware posts and accurate hours turn one-off visitors into reviews. It’s free demand most businesses ignore.
Both, but with different content. Bullring traffic is shopper intent — "near Bullring", "parking Grand Central" — while Moseley and Kings Heath lean independent: cafes, bars and boutiques with loyal local followings. Build separate area-aware pages or profile posts for each rather than one generic Birmingham page. The two audiences barely overlap in what they search.
The Google Business Profile rebuild plus a review engine. Most Birmingham businesses I audit have the wrong primary category, half their services unlisted, a handful of old photos and stale reviews. Fixing that alone often moves the needle on "near me" calls within weeks, before a single blog post is written. It’s the highest-ROI first step in local SEO, and it’s where every engagement I run starts.
